Ready to Learn – a revolution in learning
Orchard School Bristol’s new Ready to Learn behaviour system has proved revolutionary since its implementation in September 2016 – and to show the positive impact of the new policy, we created this short video which showcases a typical lesson, and hears from staff and students at the school.
“When it comes to planning lessons, you can get so much more done in a short space of time. Because you don’t have the behaviour issues in between tasks, it means you’re able to do a huge variety of tasks within a short space of time” – Mrs Abbie Cooper, English teacher at Orchard School Bristol.
Using video at Orchard School Bristol has proved an extremely effective way of communicating with parents and the local community. It has proved particularly useful when communicating important changes to school policy. Videos can be easily shared on social media platforms, and are much easier to consume than lengthy articles.
